These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of AutoYou mobile applications, server software, and websites (collectively, the “Service”). By downloading, installing, or using AutoYou, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Free product

The core app is free, always

AI chat, web browser proxy, voice calls, file transfer, notes, agent frontends, and all security modes are free. No credit card is ever required to use the core product.

Cloud Pair subscription

One optional paid feature

Cloud Pair is the only paid feature. It is an auto-renewable subscription available in-app. See the Subscription Terms section below for full disclosure, including pricing, duration, and cancellation instructions.

Local-first architecture

Your data stays on your devices

AutoYou routes chat, voice, browsing, and files directly between your phone and your own computer over WebRTC. AutoYou does not process, store, or have access to that data. See our Privacy Policy.

Auto-Renewable Subscription — App Store & Google Play Disclosure

Cloud Pair Subscription

The following information is required to be clearly stated for auto-renewable in-app subscriptions by Apple (App Store Review Guidelines § 3.1.2) and Google (Play Developer Program Policy). A standalone version of this disclosure is also available at autoyou.me/subscription/.

1. Subscription Name

Cloud Pair (AutoYou Cloud Pair Auto-Renewable Subscription)

2. What Cloud Pair Provides

Cloud Pair enables the AutoYou mobile app to connect to your AutoYou server from anywhere without requiring a separate messaging app (Telegram, WhatsApp, or Signal) to initiate the connection. The AutoYou server and mobile app must both be installed and running. All actual data (chat, voice, browsing, files) continues to travel peer-to-peer over WebRTC directly between your phone and your computer; the Cloud Pair service brokers only the initial connection handshake.

Cloud Pair does not provide cloud compute, cloud storage, or cloud-side AI processing. Every core AutoYou feature operates identically with or without a Cloud Pair subscription.

3. Subscription Duration

Cloud Pair is available as an auto-renewable subscription in the following intervals:

  • Monthly — subscription period of one (1) calendar month, renewing automatically each month.
  • Annual — subscription period of twelve (12) calendar months, renewing automatically each year.

4. Price

The price for Cloud Pair is displayed at the point of purchase within the AutoYou app, in the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android). Pricing is set in accordance with the applicable App Store or Play Store pricing tiers and may vary by country or currency. The confirmed price is shown before you complete the purchase. By completing the purchase, you agree to pay the price shown at checkout.

5. Payment

Payment is charged to your Apple ID (App Store) or Google account (Google Play) at the time of purchase confirmation. AutoYou does not directly process or store payment card information; all billing is handled by Apple or Google.

6. Auto-Renewal

Cloud Pair subscriptions automatically renew unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your Apple ID or Google account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period at the then-current subscription price.

7. Free Trial

If a free trial period is offered, any unused portion of the free trial is forfeited when you purchase a Cloud Pair subscription during the trial.

8. How to Cancel

You may cancel your Cloud Pair subscription at any time.

  • iOS: Open the Settings app → tap your Apple ID name at the top → SubscriptionsAutoYou Cloud PairCancel Subscription.
  • Android: Open the Google Play app → tap your profile icon → Payments & subscriptionsSubscriptionsAutoYouCancel subscription.

Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain full access to Cloud Pair features through the date your paid period ends. AutoYou does not issue partial-period refunds.

9. Refunds

All in-app purchases are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). Refund requests must be submitted directly to Apple or Google and are subject to their respective refund policies. AutoYou does not directly issue refunds for in-app purchases.

Section 1 — Eligibility

Who may use AutoYou

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, if higher) to use AutoYou. If you are under 18, you represent that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

To create a Cloud Pair account, you must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract.

By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements and that the information you provide to AutoYou is accurate and complete.

Section 2 — Accounts

Account registration and security

No account is required to use the core AutoYou features. You may pair your phone to your AutoYou server and use all free features without ever providing an email address or creating an account.

An account on app.autoyou.me is required only to activate Cloud Pair. If you create an account, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and current information during registration.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of your credentials and not share them with third parties.
  • Notify AutoYou promptly at support@autoyou.me if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
  • Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account.

AutoYou reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or are subject to a chargeback.

Section 3 — Acceptable Use

What you may and may not do

You may use AutoYou only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

  • Use the Service in any way that violates applicable federal, state, local, or international law or regulation.
  • Transmit unsolicited commercial messages, spam, or bulk messages through any AutoYou-integrated messaging channel.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the AutoYou mobile application (the open-source server components are separately licensed).
  • Use the Service to generate, distribute, or store content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users’ devices, accounts, or any systems connected to the Service.
  • Circumvent, disable, or otherwise interfere with security-related features of the Service.
  • Use the Service in any manner that could disable, overburden, damage, or impair it or interfere with any other party’s use of the Service.
  • Resell or sublicense access to Cloud Pair or otherwise make the Service available to third parties as a managed service without written permission from AutoYou.

Section 4 — Third-Party Services & Integrations

Telegram, WhatsApp, Signal, and other integrations

AutoYou optionally integrates with third-party messaging platforms and services, including Telegram (Telegram FZ-LLC), WhatsApp (WhatsApp LLC, a Meta Platforms, Inc. subsidiary), and Signal (Signal Messenger LLC), as well as AI model providers such as Ollama, Hugging Face, and cloud speech services. These integrations are operated by independent companies and are governed by their own terms of service and privacy policies.

Your responsibilities: By enabling any third-party integration, you represent that you are authorized to use your own accounts with those services and that your use complies with the applicable third-party terms. Notable constraints include:

  • WhatsApp: AutoYou’s WhatsApp integration uses your personal WhatsApp account for initial pairing only. Using automated messaging tools with WhatsApp may be subject to WhatsApp’s Terms of Service. You are solely responsible for compliance with WhatsApp’s policies. AutoYou is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by WhatsApp LLC or Meta Platforms, Inc.
  • Telegram: The Telegram bot integration uses the official Telegram Bot API. Your use must comply with Telegram’s Terms of Service. AutoYou is not affiliated with Telegram FZ-LLC.
  • Signal: The Signal integration uses signal-cli, an unofficial third-party command-line client. Your use must comply with Signal’s Terms of Service. AutoYou is not affiliated with Signal Messenger LLC.

AutoYou is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or conduct of any third-party service. We do not endorse any third-party content, products, or services made accessible through the integrations.

Google Services

AutoYou uses Google STUN servers (stun.l.google.com) for WebRTC NAT traversal and Google’s Agent Development Kit (ADK) in the agent pipeline. Your use of these services is subject to Google’s Terms of Service.

Microsoft Azure

Azure Cognitive Services Speech SDK may be used for optional text-to-speech synthesis. If you configure AutoYou to use Azure, you do so using your own Azure credentials and are subject to Microsoft’s Azure Terms.

Section 5 — AI Models & Local Processing

AI runs on your hardware; you are responsible for model compliance

AutoYou is designed to run AI models locally on your own computer using Ollama, Hugging Face, Whisper (OpenAI, L.P.), and similar frameworks. AutoYou does not provide, host, or distribute AI model weights. Models are downloaded directly from their respective sources (e.g., Ollama registry, Hugging Face Hub).

Model licenses: Each AI model you download and use may be governed by its own license. You are solely responsible for reviewing and complying with the license terms for any model you run through AutoYou. AutoYou does not warrant that any particular model is licensed for your intended use case, including commercial use.

AI-generated content: Responses generated by AI models running on your computer are produced by those models and do not represent the views, opinions, advice, or warranties of AutoYou. AutoYou expressly disclaims any responsibility for the accuracy, completeness, legality, or appropriateness of AI-generated output. You are solely responsible for how you use AI-generated content.

Section 6 — Intellectual Property

What belongs to AutoYou and what belongs to you

The AutoYou name, logo, mobile application, website, and all associated intellectual property are owned by AutoYou and its licensors and are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

The AutoYou server software (“AutoYou-Computer”) is released as open-source software. Use of the open-source components is governed by the applicable open-source license(s) in the repository. Nothing in these Terms limits rights granted by an applicable open-source license.

Your content: You retain all rights in content you create, send, or process using AutoYou. Because AutoYou operates peer-to-peer between your own devices, your content never passes through AutoYou’s servers, and AutoYou asserts no claim over it.

License grant to you: Subject to your compliance with these Terms, AutoYou grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the AutoYou mobile application on devices you own or control, solely for personal, non-commercial use.

Section 7 — Privacy & Connection Records

Privacy is governed by the Privacy Policy; connection metadata is retained for legal compliance

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. The Privacy Policy describes what AutoYou collects, why, and how. In particular:

  • If you use local pairing (Telegram, WhatsApp, or Signal), no data is collected by AutoYou. AutoYou has no visibility into those connections.
  • If you use Cloud Pair, only the data described in the Privacy Policy is collected: email address, opaque user ID (linked to your OAuth account), device public encryption keys, subscription status, and connection metadata (source and destination device IDs, timestamps, and relay payload byte-counts).
  • Message content, voice audio, browsing history, files, contacts, and location are never collected or accessible by AutoYou. Connection metadata does not include payload content at any level.

Terminology note: “AutoYou server” in these Terms refers to the software you run on your own computer, not AutoYou LLC’s cloud infrastructure. AutoYou LLC’s cloud service is accessible at app.autoyou.me and is the only AutoYou-operated system that processes personal data. The public website (www.autoyou.me) is a static site a static site and does not process personal data.

Section 8 — Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is”

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, AUTOYOU AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS PROVIDE THE SERVICE “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. AUTOYOU SPECIFICALLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT;
  • THAT THE SERVICE WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS OR BE AVAILABLE ON AN UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE BASIS;
  • THAT THE RESULTS OBTAINED FROM USE OF THE SERVICE WILL BE ACCURATE OR RELIABLE;
  • THAT THE QUALITY OF ANY PRODUCTS, SERVICES, INFORMATION, OR OTHER MATERIAL OBTAINED THROUGH THE SERVICE WILL MEET YOUR EXPECTATIONS;
  • THAT ANY ERRORS IN THE SERVICE WILL BE CORRECTED.

AI-generated content produced by models running on your hardware is not endorsed or warranted by AutoYou. Third-party integrations (messaging platforms, STUN servers, cloud speech services) are not warranted by AutoYou and may change or become unavailable at any time.

Section 9 — Limitation of Liability

Our liability is limited

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL AUTOYOU, ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, LICENSORS, OR SERVICE PROVIDERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF GOODWILL, SERVICE INTERRUPTION, COMPUTER DAMAGE OR SYSTEM FAILURE, OR THE COST OF SUBSTITUTE SERVICES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SERVICE, EVEN IF AUTOYOU HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

IN NO EVENT SHALL AUTOYOU’S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE TOTAL AMOUNT YOU PAID TO AUTOYOU IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS (USD 100).

SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. IN THOSE JURISDICTIONS, AUTOYOU’S LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

Section 10 — Indemnification

You agree to defend AutoYou from claims arising from your use

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless AutoYou and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or relating to:

  • Your violation of these Terms;
  • Your violation of any applicable law or the rights of a third party, including any third-party terms of service (e.g., WhatsApp, Telegram, Signal);
  • Content transmitted, stored, or processed by you through the Service;
  • Your use of AI model output.

Section 11 — Export Compliance

Encryption software and export laws

AutoYou incorporates encryption technology, including WebRTC DTLS/SRTP and TLS. The import, export, re-export, transfer, or use of the Service may be subject to export control laws and regulations, including those of the United States (Export Administration Regulations, EAR) and other countries.

By using the Service, you represent and warrant that: (a) you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country; (b) you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties; and (c) your use of the Service complies with all applicable export laws.

Section 12 — Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

How disputes are handled

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions.

Informal resolution: Before filing any formal legal proceeding, you agree to contact AutoYou at support@autoyou.me and provide a written description of the dispute. Both parties will make good-faith efforts to resolve the dispute informally within 30 days.

Binding arbitration: If informal resolution fails, any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered by JAMS under its Streamlined Arbitration Rules and Procedures, rather than in court, except that you may assert claims in small claims court if your claims qualify. The arbitration will be conducted in English.

Class action waiver: YOU AND AUTOYOU AGREE THAT EACH MAY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY IN YOUR OR ITS INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING.

EU/UK users: Nothing in this section limits your rights under applicable consumer protection laws in the European Union or United Kingdom, including your right to bring a claim before a national court.

Section 13 — Termination

When this agreement ends

These Terms remain in effect until terminated by you or AutoYou. You may stop using the Service at any time. You may delete your Cloud Pair account from Settings → Delete Account in the app, or by emailing support@autoyou.me.

AutoYou may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination of your Cloud Pair account, your account data is deleted as described in our Privacy Policy.

Sections covering Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, and Governing Law survive termination of these Terms.

Section 14 — Law Enforcement & Legal Process

How AutoYou responds to legal requests and what records we can provide

AutoYou LLC will comply with valid, lawfully issued legal process (including subpoenas, court orders, and search warrants) from authorities with jurisdiction over AutoYou LLC, a company incorporated in the United States and operating under California law.

Records available on Cloud Pair accounts: For users who have activated Cloud Pair, AutoYou Cloud (app.autoyou.me) retains the following records that may be disclosed pursuant to legal process:

  • Account identifiers: email address, internal user ID, OAuth provider and provider-issued subject identifier.
  • Device registry: device names and public encryption keys for registered phones and personal AutoYou servers.
  • Connection metadata: for each Cloud Pair relay event — the source device ID, the destination device ID, the connection timestamp, and the byte-count of the relay payload. The internal user ID associated with those device IDs is permanently linked to the OAuth sign-in account (Google, Apple, or GitHub) used to create the Cloud Pair account, enabling identity verification.
  • Subscription records: subscription tier, start date, and App Store / Google Play billing reference.

Records that do not exist on AutoYou systems: AutoYou Cloud does not store, route, or have access to message content, voice audio, browser traffic, file contents, or any payload content. WebRTC signaling data is held in process memory only and discarded once the connection attempt resolves; it is never persisted. Users who pair via Telegram, WhatsApp, or Signal without activating Cloud Pair have no account on AutoYou Cloud and produce no records that AutoYou can disclose.

User notification: AutoYou will notify affected users of legal requests before disclosure unless prohibited by law or court order, or unless we reasonably believe that notification would endanger safety or obstruct an investigation.

Emergency requests: AutoYou may disclose information to law enforcement without legal process when we have a good-faith belief that an emergency involving imminent risk of death or serious physical injury requires immediate disclosure.

Law enforcement inquiries should be sent to support@autoyou.me with the subject “Law Enforcement Request.”

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms

AutoYou may modify these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, by in-app notification or email. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of the revised Terms constitutes acceptance of the changes.

Severability

Invalid provisions are severed

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, that provision is deemed severed. The remaining provisions continue in full force and effect.
